All By Myself

Many people have had to stay home and couldn't be with friends or family.

When you are alone, there is no other person with you.

There are words and phrases related to alone, they can be confusing. They are all used a little differently. .

1. Lonely - (adjective) a sad feeling when you are not with any other people, and you wish you were with another person or other people.

2. Alone - (adjective) not a feeling, only that no one is with you.

All alone - makes alone stronger

3. By myself - can be used the same as alone, like an adjective: "I was by myself."

It's a little different from Myself when used after an action: "I did it by myself"...

4. Myself - Use after a verb. You can say: "I like myself " Often we say, "I did it myself." I did it myself ---- I did it by myself are different? A little -

"I did it by myself." This means that no one helped you, and maybe that's OK for you. But, By myself stresses that you had no help, but maybe help from someone would have been nice. :-( I did it myself also means no one helped you, but it sounds like you didn't NEED help from anyone.

5. Loner - (noun) Describes a person who often spends time alone and doesn't get together with people or socialize a lot.

Everyone likes to be alone sometimes, but I hope you are not lonely these days!
